Top 4 Mommy Blogs You should be following!

top-4-mommy-blogs

So many mommies and so many mommy blogs to choose from! Who can you trust, who will make you laugh, who will entertain you, who will provoke thought for change, who will inspire your next DIY or dinner recipe? As Brandnewmoms, more often then not, we find ourselves seeking information from those with whom we can identify most. After delving into the blogosphere myself, there were definitely a handful of mommy bloggers that stood out to me right off the bat for each of their unique reasons. Here are my top 4 mommy blogs that you should definitely be liking, following and Pinning!

Sparkleshinylove

While these Top 5 Mommy Blogs are in no particular order, the first one happens to be a fellow Canadian mommy blogger named, Mandy from sparkleshinylove.com. She isn’t your run of the mill full-day pyjama wearing, pony tail dawning, country bumpkin. (Not that there is anything wrong with any of those things) But as her tagline states, she zeros in on a very specific mommy niche, “A Lifestyle Blog for Hip Urban Moms”. On my good days, I like to think of myself as, “Hip” so, I often keep up with and connect with Mandy via her Facebook page. Mom to a little toddler, she consistently reveals a variety of insightful blog posts ranging from honest parenting advice, top trending fashion, hits Toronto’s hottest spots, to sharing her favourite products in review.

What’s more, you can’t help but gravitate towards her crisp and uncluttered website which, exudes nothing but top-notch mommy class. But wait!! Don’t be quick to write Mandy off because you think being, “Hip” and “Urban” means her lifestyle is out of your league! Mandy is a self-proclaimed, “indiscriminate shopper” that you can find anywhere from the green aisles of the dollar store to toting the infamous turquoise at Tiffany’s. Want proof? Check out her recent DIY, Dollar store painted globe for $16! She is, in my opinion, the epitome of a Brandnewmom who is doing it all!

 The Deliberate Mom

Jennifer over at The Deliberate Mom is one of the first mommy blogs of Christian faith I “latched on to” so-to-speak. Jennifer knows the in’s and out’s of the blogosphere but hasn’t let any of it get to her head. In fact, she freely shares all of her blogging secrets with us in a tab right on her main menu! Her generosity and transparency further extends to her “journal-istic” blog posts. She isn’t afraid of admitting when she is wrong and how to go about fixing it. In one of her latest posts, she narrates a traumatizing parenting experience with the hopes none of us Brandnewmom’s ever have to endure what she did.

One of Jennifer’s taglines is that, ” being a deliberate mom is not about perfection but rather intention”. This struck a chord with me. As Brandnewmom’s, we often put too much pressure on ourselves to be perfect even though this is one of the hardest jobs we will ever have and be the least experienced at. She helped me to realize early on that we make mistakes but can come together and learn from one another. Check out  her Facebook page here.

 Melaniemeditates

I secretly envy Melanie. Well, I guess it’s not a secret anymore! Aside from being a super duper blogging mom at melaniemeditates.com, she has a leg up on the new subscription box trend and offers their reviews. How awesome would it be to receive such awesomeness in the mail on a regular basis?! I find her reviews valuable and intriguing because she makes it easy to decide whether a particular subscription service is worth buying into. I hope to review Canadian subscription boxes one day and follow in her footsteps! :) Keep up with her reviews and posts here!

Melanie is definitely more than subscription box reviews. Her story is very real. Dealing with her past loss and ongoing struggles with mental health demonstrate her courage and resolve. She is inspiring and I find myself enthralled with her posts as she reveals more and more of her beautiful heart.

Living ContentlyProfessional Picture

While she isn’t effectively, a momma, Leesha at Living Contently is one of those woman-power blogs that I instantly connected with. Her positivity translates through her writing and one can’t help but want to snag a piece of that contagious goodness! Her posts are definitely mom-relatable and she too, is honest and proactive about all aspects of life. As a “Budgetista”, Leesha always finds the best ways to save, posts easy recipes, fun little crafts and really focuses on living your best intentional life\learning how to be content with the life you have. In a recent post, she courageously divulges a secret about her past that many women can identify with. If you become a subscriber not only do you gain access to all her posts but you even get a free “Debt Payoff Toolkit”! I like her so much I even follow Leesha on Facebook and Instagram!

I hope that you check out all (if you haven’t already) my mommy blogger friends and their sites. We truly love to support one another and hope you all do to!
